I began doing ceramics as a hobby and
my first
piece I did was the Norwegian Santa
from the
Old World Santa collection. The pieces
you see
on the Santa Pages are all prepared
and hand
painted by myself.
I
am always learning new techniques as
I
progress and when I see the piece finished
it
always amazes me on how painting something
can bring it to life.
I
have done a variety of pieces which
include:
Bald Eagles, Owls, Gnomes, Votive Candle
Holders, Cherubs, Circle of Friends,
Christmas
Ornaments, Chalets, Ceramic Scenes,
Moon-
lights, and Snowbabies.
They
are all done individually so even though
they might appear the same there are
subtle
differences.
I
am in the process now of starting my
own
ceramic shop and will be teaching people
in my
area. I am looking forward to this new
challenge in the ceramic business.
